  • Director of Marketing

    Job Summary:

    The (associate) Director of Marketing has the dual responsibility of Product Life Cycle Management as well as strategies on best route to market penetration. In addition, he/she will supervises and/or implement tactics and strategy for product benefits communication and various marketing efforts such as product management, program management and international distributor management. He/she will work closely with the sales, R&D/Engineering, Operation and Customer and Technical Service teams.

     

    Responsibilities & Duties:

    1. Coordinate with the CCO/CMO/VP of Marketing to develop annual strategic marketing plan
    2. Oversee the creation and preparation of strategy and tactical deployment to promote the company brand and products benefits to our target market segments
    3. Develop comprehensive customer driven marketing requirements for all products in liaison with the R&D/Engineering teams.
    4. Conduct market research and competitive analysis for all market segments.
    5. Work closely with operations, R&D, software team and production to ensure smooth product launches.
    6. Work with R&D to map product development to market needs.
    7. Provide messaging and collateral to positively differentiate products in the marketplace.
    8. Train sales force and future distribution partners on new and existing products.
    9. Oversee development of marketing product launch packages.
    10. Manage international distributors including communication and training
    11. Manage Product Manager, an Application Scientist and a Social Media Marcom Manager
    12. Represent the company at tradeshow or onsite training of distributors or customers.

     

    Minimum Requirements:

    1. A PhD in life science or microbiology is required.
    2. Must have a minimum of 2 years (Associate Director) 6 years (Director) of experience in similar product management, applications support, or another life-science product management role.
    3. Must have experience defining product requirements and working with R&D/Engineering to ensure development of products based on customer and business requirements.
    4. Must have proven track-record of outstanding performance in interacting with customers, vendors, and various internal organizations.
    5. Must supply substantial examples of outstanding technical writing, presentations or branding material.
    6. Must have knowledge of Social Media platforms and tactics
    7. Must have understanding of Flow Sorting technologies.

  • Field Application Scientist

    Overall Objective

    NanoCellect Wolf installations are expected to grow rapidly driving the demand for high quality demos, customer training, and technical support. We are looking for a Field Applications Scientists, to be based in our (1) San Diego office and (2) in the Boston or the DC region, for training and supporting customers. If you enjoy bringing new technologies to market, embrace challenge, and are capable of fitting in a flexible and multidisciplinary environment, then this position may be for you. The successful applicant will provide complex applications support, troubleshooting and diagnosis on NanoCellect systems in life science research settings. The Field Applications Scientist will be responsible to provide operator training on instruments and teaching customers how to develop their own assays using the Wolf system. This position also has a pre-sales function and works closely as a partner with the sales and marketing team.

     

    Key Results Expected

    • Provide comprehensive technical training and support for NanoCellect Wolf technology, including hands-on lab and software training
    • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for customers in person, and via phone, email, and web
    • Provide pre and post sales technical and scientific presentations, to small groups and large audiences on the use of Wolf technology
    • Carry out laboratory projects that include customer demonstrations, proof of principle experiments, and new product evaluations/testing
    • Participate in new product development projects as a representative of the commercial and technical support teams
    • Serve as voice of the customer to product management for product improvements and new applications
    • Develop and implement training plans and course modules
    • Assist in the creation and review of technical materials including manuals, application notes, and presentations
    • Create and maintain customer contact and support related information in the company enterprise database

     

    Skills & Experience

    • Ph.D. in Biology related field (or BS/MS with equivalent experience) and strong background working in Cell Analysis is required
    • 3-5 years of hands-on laboratory experience in Cell Analysis, protein biochemistry, Immunology, drug discovery/molecular pharmacology, or related field is required.
    • Experience with Flow Cytometry and Cell Sorting, and hands-on analysis of data from complex systems is preferred
    • Strong communication skills and experience delivering scientific presentations
    • Skilled in troubleshooting software, instrumentation, applications, and analysis of data from cell sorters and flow cytometers.
    • Independent thinker with excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills
    • Commitment to excellence in customer service
    • Excellent organizational skills and technical writing ability
    • Ability to travel 50% of the time
