San Diego, Calif., (June 25, 2018) – NanoCellect Biomedical Inc., a leader in the development and manufacture of innovative tools for cell analysis and sorting, today announced that Chris Neary has joined the company’s management team as CEO. The appointment is part of NanoCellect’s expansion following its successful introduction of the unique Wolf® Cell Sorter system. Neary will be working closely with the NanoCellect founders to further expand the management team, increase commercial capabilities and drive the strategic growth of the company.

“NanoCellect’s unique cell sorting platform delivers important capabilities to cellular analysis researchers, addressing needs that have been expressed in the market for over a decade,” said Neary. “I’m very excited to join this innovative team of scientists and lead our efforts to bring sterile, single-cell sorting capabilities to researchers in an inexpensive benchtop platform that is easy to use.”

“Chris brings us nearly 30 years of experience in the life sciences and diagnostics sectors, working in startups and large companies building commercial, marketing and development teams,” commented Dr. José Morachis, president of NanoCellect. “His additional experience in inorganic growth opportunities and collaborations will complement our existing team and help drive our global commercialization efforts.”

Neary received his Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Idaho. He started his professional career at Dow Chemical in agrichemicals research, where he developed a strong passion for the automation of life science research applications. Neary was a co-founder of Sagian (1991), initially an automation systems integration company that acquired the ORCA robotics business from Hewlett Packard (now Agilent) in 1994. Sagian was acquired by Beckman Instruments (now Beckman Coulter) in 1996. Neary rose through the management ranks at Beckman Coulter, working in marketing, corporate strategy and product management.

Most recently, he was with Water Street Healthcare Partners, a private equity firm. In that role Neary led the transition of an acquired New Zealand-based protein diagnostics company, expanding their operations and global commercialization capabilities.
